    noun
    1.                             a general direction in which something is developing or changing.

Some all things change, some but most things stay the same.

Right now the pattern serape is having a big moment in western fashion. The dress above is actually a thrifted skirt that I engineered into a dress for this look. While serape is perhaps a current trend, it seems turquoise and denim are here to stay in the western fashion world. Either way, the fun thing about western fashion is everything comes back and has it's moment. While many of you rodeo kids from back in the day may have thought coloured Rockies were a thing of the past, they are even making a comeback. So what's the difference between a trend, and timeless, really?

One thing I can tell you is that old barn wood and abandoned barns are simply iconic, and when you find one, you take photos in front of it. I loved how this look popped against the distressed red of this barn. Such a fun shoot.
